Ryan Johnston

2010 looks set to be an exciting year for Visual Blaze. One reason is the addition of Ryan Johnston to the Visual Blaze team.

We are very pleased to welcome Ryan aboard. Ryan has technically been working with us since the latter part of 2009 but 2010 marks the official ‘outing’ of Ryan as a ‘Visual Blaze-er’.

Everyone at Visual Blaze is immensely excited to have someone of Ryan’s caliber as a member of our team.

Ryan joins us as a programmer and all around technology genius. His passion for all things tech, coupled with an unwavering focus on quality and innovation, makes him a perfect fit.

Question Time

I questioned Ryan just before the close of 2009 in order to give you a little more information directly ‘from the horses mouth’ (I’m not calling you a horse Ryan, although “work horse” is accurate).

Q: Ryan, what would you consider your ‘technical focus’?

A: My focus is on using technology to make life easier. This includes automating mundane tasks as well as the automation of any task to increase efficiency and/or ease of execution.

Q: What are your personal interests?

A: That’s why I’m in this line of work. My interests are centered around technology. One example is the ‘Carputer’ (an in-car integrated computer system doing just about everything a desktop can), another example is home automation. These are both personal projects of mine, both heavily involve the innovative use of computers.

Outside of technology I enjoy spending time with my family.

Q: At which University did you study?

A: Graduate of Sullivan University – Associate of Computer Science with concentration in Computer Programming, 2001 — 2003 (Cum Laude Honors)

Q: Any other information you’d like to share with the world?

A: If you’re itching for more information about me, feel free to ask your questions in the comments section of this post.

As you can see from the questions above, I didn’t grill him to hard, he has way better things to do with his time then answer my questions!

For those of you curious about Ryan’s personal projects including ‘Carputer’, watch the blog. We will give you more insight into the wonderful world of Ryan’s computing projects soon.

Welcome aboard Ryan!
